[dovecot] Fatal: postmaster_address setting not given

After dovecot kept telling me that the postmaster_address variable in the protocol lda { } section of its configuration file is not set, although it was, I found out that this error occurred, because I used tabs in the configuration file for a nicer alignment of the values.
Now that I changed the tab into whitespaces, dovecot works fine.

The error occurred with version 1.0.r15 and 1.0.3

dovecot deliver – Fatal: postmaster_address setting not given
It took me an hour to figure out the reason for this message. The only hint is, that there might be special characters like tabs in the config file. But in my case, the reason was the dovecot-postfix package of Ubuntu 9.10. There are two config-files: ...
